About Us
Opened in 2016 by its principal Faye Michelle Quinney, Studio84 is fast becoming Derby’s Centre for Theatrical and Freestyle arts training.
Our aim is to offer expert tuition led by qualified industry professionals in Acting, Acrobatics, Commercial Street, Ballet, Freestyle, Lyrical, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap & Singing and operating under the I.D.T.A, I.S.T.D, A.D.F.P & L.A.M.D.A associations.
All classes are housed in a fun and safe environment where pupils can learn the techniques of the Performing Arts industry but also build confidence, encourage creativity, enhance social skills and make new friends.
As well as our weekly lesson, we also offer many exciting opportunities including auditions, examinations, competitions, festivals, performances and annual showcases.
We’ve had huge achievements with our Theatre dance team & Freestyle competition squad with multiple winners, finalists and championship tittles gained, as well as a 100% pass rate in our yearly examination sessions.
Many of our students have successfully auditioned for professional productions at Derby Theatre, Derby Live, Derby Arena, Theatre Royal Nottingham & Nottingham Playhouse, as well as attending TV & Feature film castings.
Studio84 students have also gained places at: The Royal Ballet Associates, Tring Park School, The Hammond School, Elmhurts Associates, Expressions Performing Arts College, The Jazz Associates, Ballet Theatre UK, Midland Theatre Ballet, Studio79, Central Television Workshop & AGF Agency.
