CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

 A fuse of dance & gymnastics. Using all the techniques, balance & grace of dancing but incorporating gymnastic styled tumbling & tricks. From handstands to cartwheels, walk overs to back flips. A must for any budding dance performer.   

 Focusing on the LAMDA (London Academy of Dramatic Arts) syllabus. Acting is an activity in which the actor adopts a certain character tells a story. We offer our students various styles and types of acting whether it be for theatre, television, film, radio.   

The basis for nearly all forms of dance. Learning Co-ordination, Technique, Balance & Flexibly following the IDTA syllabus, your child will possess the knowledge and sound training to be able to take examinations and further their careers in dance if they choose to. A must class for any aspiring dancer. 

 A current & popular style of dancing, usually seen in pop videos & at events. Using elements of hip-hop and funk styles whilst applying the techniques of Jazz and Contemporary.  

 originally called Disco dance (think John Travolta in his white suit) Freestyle has progressed and modernized. A fast paced and energetic style of dance seen all over the world on stage and in competitions. This type of dancing usually includes runs, spins, kicks and leaps. It encompasses speed, agility, suppleness and strength. Students are encouraged to develop their own individualism as well as working together as a team.   

 Showcasing a dancer's individual style and originality. Jazz dance is a unique combination of moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in ballet as it encourages grace and balance. Jazz is most commonly seen in Theatre, Shows & Musicals

A creative blend of Contemporary dance, Jazz, Ballet & Modern Musical. Exercises & routines focus on Musicality & Artistry. A slow and control style of dance with great performance & expressive qualities.   

Act, Dance & Sing in this Stage School inspired class. As well as specialising in the techniques of the Performing Arts industry and widening our Theatrical repertoire by focusing on a Musical per term, our SA pupils will build confidence, encourage creativity, enhance social skills and make new friends. These classes are for anyone who LOVES to perform!  

Create new rhythms & beats as well as constructing combinations through sound clarity and musicality. Classes are structured using the IDTA syllabus.
